WADEYE SHOPPING COMPLEX, NT

The concept of the new proposed shopping complex located in the town of Wadeye, located 400km west of Darwin, aims to provide a large, centralized and welcoming shopping destination with various shop tenancies anchored by a super market store. Situated centrally of the town on a historic land where is was once known as the ‘Chicken Oval’ farm; the site not only is a central connection for the people of Wadeye but an important historical representation of being the ‘provider’ of the town. The building security is controlled by a single gated entry into a multifunctional undercover area, open onto various small tenancies with future capability for small transient pop-up stores. Activating what will essentially be the core of not only the shopping complex itself but a connection outside though to the oval with possible events organised to up-lifting the town such as friendly AFL games, small concerts and fairs.
