HENBURY SCHOOL

The school principal said this landscape creates a special place of happiness, that once inside the school gates, the rest of the world seems to melt away and the school community connects to learn, play and relax.

The complexity of this landscape design is masked by the visual harmony and activities that happen in the external spaces. We created outdoor learning venues, calming environments, small and large scaled places, exciting play events that are therapy, challenging and elicit social connection. The heart of the school brings people together in the amphitheatre where students and teachers perform and share in a Territory native garden full of birds and flowers. The school grounds are just a nice, safe and encouraging place to learn.
