BATH STREET LODGE, NT

The NT Department of Health engaged Bennett Architecture to upgrade the existing accommodation facility on Bath Street. Originally used as a hostel, the apartments now cater for remote out-patients needing to visit the Darwin hospital.

Our scope of works involved not only improving the aesthetics throughout, but also bringing the 1980’s construction up to present building codes. Compliance items such as disabled access and egress entailed a significant part of the remediation work. Other design items included improving kitchen and dining spaces, landscaped outdoor areas as well as a new supporting manager’s unit.
