Bennett Architecture is celebrating 25 years of designing sustainable, award-winning projects throughout Australia. We are a Darwin based company which now provides services nationally with offices in Adelaide SA, Melbourne VIC, Northern Rivers and the Blue Mountains NSW, Brisbane & Cairns QLD, and Perth WA
Starting an architectural practice in Darwin had many advantages, including an extensive portfolio of projects and environments. We have produced a wide array of successful projects across Australia throughout our time, varying from residential extensions to large commercial buildings and industrial facilities.
We are passionate about collaborating and engaging with our clients and project stakeholders to develop pleasing results.
PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy in design has sprung from a base level on the need for simplicity which has been honed through the delivery of projects in remote locations. By drawing inspiration from nature, we pride ourselves on practical designs and material selections with pleasing results. Weathering and longevity of buildings, particularly remotely, is an area where we specialise with the aim that designs will meet their intended life span and have minimum maintenance as this occurs.
All projects are designed with safety as a premium consideration for the occupants, visitors and operations.
hISTORY
Bennett Architecture started in 1994 as a small practice in Darwin, in what was a ‘boom or bust’ time, surviving on whatever projects in which we could assist. We found the broad range of project variety that the Territory offers to be a local advantage, having designed the Birthing Suite at Royal Darwin Hospital, the mortuary and everything in between.
Now a national firm, we have evolved into a company that can deliver a diversity of projects in different locations while still being small enough to understand what it means to be local.
