SKY CITY PROPOSAL, DARWIN nt

Bennett Architecture participated in a conceptual design competition to redevelop the existing Skycity casino at Mindil Beach along with other designers. The design brief called for a modernisation of the facility to engage with a younger demographic and included a beachside bar and restaurant area connected from the main facility through a redeveloped surround to the large existing pool area.

The new facility was placed with connection to the beach, to support events on site and to enhance the outdoor green areas. Our proposal followed on from a complete site measure and draw up of the existing facilities with were completed in the 1980’s which have been used as a basis for ongoing site redevelopments.
