Bennett Architecture were engaged to provide a concept master plan for Tindale Property who were submitting a rezoning application for Bee’s Creek, a rural area in the outer region of Darwin.

Characteristics were to preserve creek lines, vegetation, natural features and provide interaction with these spaces via natural walking and cycling trails. Significant setbacks from the Elizabeth River were adopted to promote a less radical destruction of natural habitat in lieu of new development. Rural character preservation was also encouraged by providing larger housing lots (from 1,000m up to 4,000m) as well as supporting small local corner shop businesses.
