Bennett Architecture in conjunction with Elton Consulting were engaged by the Barkly Regional Council to deliver a master plan to revitalise Purkiss Park Reserve.

The Reserve is approximately 9.6 hectares and provides cultural sporting entertainment and facilities for healthy lifestyles of all ages. It is the only space of this kind where people can access open green space to walk and exercise without manace of dogs within suburbs. It also brings great visual relief to the town which is placed in what can be a harsh environment. This gives rise to community health, happiness and safety and drives key value and amenity for the town.
