WOOLNER SUBDIVISION PROPOSAL, NT

Bennett Architecture provided urban planning and early design concepts for the redevelopment of the Woolner area in Darwin. The intent was to provide more housing development space closer to town and the near connecing on Woolner is ideal being only five minutes from town.

The development hub centred on the intent of relocating the existing bus depot to a regional location and redeveloping this and surrounding sites of 8.6ha to create a denser housing hub.

The project was floated at a Governmental level when the housing environment was in a development phase, unfortunately the economy then slipped into a negative growth phase so no followup has occurred.
