TOWN ENTRY STATEMENTS, TENNANT CREEK, NT

Having delivered numerous projects in Tennant Creek, Bennett Architecture had the pleasure of being engaged by Northern Territory Government to deliver a town entry statement that reflected the unique culture and heritage of the Barkly Region Town. Two installations situated at both northern and southern ends of town along the Stuart Highway.

Design elements included a palette of materials which incorporated the rustic textures of the town and surrounding areas. A large reinforced concrete wall with an impressive 8m long custom metal spikey tailed goanna installed at ground level, welcoming text, information booth and inclusion of the local crucible installed at both entries.
