YOUTH JUSTICE CENTRE, ALICE SPRINGS

Coordinated by the Department of Infrastructure, Planning & Logistics (DIPL), Territory Families, on behalf of Northern Territory Government have invested in developing additional infrastructure to improve the wellbeing and amenities of the existing Youth Justice Centre in Alice Springs.

Bennett Architecture were engaged as the lead design consultant to develop and document the works. The design was developed with strong stakeholder input, consultation with young people, existing centre staff, the community, the community sector, DIPL and Territory Families.

The design allowed for the open spaces between and around buildings to include high quality landscaping and infrastructure designed to provide opportunities for casual, social and recreational use as well as formal use such as learning and training, counselling, consultation and withdrawal.
