RAPID CREEK RESIDENCE, NT
Rossiter Street House was a residence and studio developed on a traditional large block in Rapid Creek, an older Darwin suburb.
Both Elements are set within a lush landscaping plan while the studio is accessible from the street and screened from the residence for appropriate segregation. The material palette resembles a traditional Darwin tropical house with the use of hardwood timber, corrugated tin and expressed joinery. Operable windows dominate the external walls to ensure large amounts of cross ventilation is achieved as well as being able to hear the fauna residing in the garden.
